Official Rules of Defiance

Rule 1: Impersonation
- Players are forbidden from impersonating other community members, especially staff. Impersonation may lead to immediate account sanctions.


Rule 2: Unauthorized Software & Third-Party Tools
- The use of any cheat clients, macros, auto-clickers, bots, or any external programs that give an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.


Rule 3: Point & Kill-Farming
- Engaging in activities like kill-boosting, point-farming, or exploiting minigames for unfair advantages or reward gains is not allowed.


Rule 4: Offensive Language & Harassment
- Hateful, obscene, or excessively aggressive language directed at others is prohibited, both in public and private communications.
4b. Discrimination
- Any form of discrimination based on race, gender, religion, orientation, or background will not be tolerated.


Rule 5: Account Security & Scamming
- Accessing, stealing, or tampering with another player’s account is strictly forbidden.
5b. Scamming
- Luring, item scams, or trust trades under false pretenses are not permitted. Trading screen swaps or rule changes in duels are part of the game — but repeated, large-scale abuse may result in penalties.


Rule 6: Bug Abuse
- Exploiting bugs or glitches for personal gain disrupts fair play. Any discovered exploits must be reported to staff immediately.


Rule 7: Account Trading
- Selling or trading accounts is not allowed. Defiance staff will not mediate disputes or issues arising from account trading.


Rule 8: Real World Trading (RWT)
- Exchanging in-game items or wealth for real-world money or external services is strictly forbidden.


Rule 9: Advertising
- Promoting other servers, websites, or Discords without approval is prohibited and may result in an immediate ban.


Rule 10: Privacy & Doxing
- Sharing another player’s personal information without consent, including contact details or personal images, is strictly prohibited.


Rule 11: Ragging
- Excessive ragging is not allowed.


Rule 12: Spamming
- Avoid spamming chat or yell channels. Trade advertisements and recruitment yells are limited to once per minute.


Rule 13: Punishment Evasion
- Evading bans, mutes, or other punishments through alternate accounts or IP changes is not allowed and will result in escalated penalties.


Rule 14: Bounty & Emblem Farming
- Manipulating Bounty Hunter systems or farming emblems through alt accounts is prohibited.


Rule 15: Common Sense Clause
- Actions not explicitly listed but deemed harmful, exploitative, or abusive may still be punished under this rule.


Rule 16: Doxing Policy
- Defiance has a zero-tolerance stance on doxing.
Sharing or threatening to share personal details like real names, addresses, photos, or contact details without explicit consent will lead to severe consequences.

Consequences for doxing include:

Mutes ranging from 24 hours to permanent

Bans on both in-game and Discord platforms, up to permanent bans based on severity

To report doxing:
Collect evidence and report directly to the staff through appropriate channels. Do not retaliate.

Note: General insults or harmless comments about appearance or behavior without personal details do not constitute doxing.



Final Notes:

Failure to adhere to these rules will result in appropriate action, up to and including permanent bans from Defiance and all affiliated platforms.
