Defiance Community Rules & Code of Conduct
Welcome to **Defiance**. By participating in our game and community spaces, you agree to abide by these rules to ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable environment for all players. Breaches of these rules will be dealt with accordingly — ranging from warnings to permanent bans, depending on the severity.

General Conduct
**Minor competitive banter** is tolerated within PKing areas due to the nature of competitive play, but excessive, abusive, or targeted harassment will not be permitted.

Official Rules of Defiance
### Rule 1: **Impersonation**
Players are forbidden from impersonating other community members, especially staff. Impersonation may lead to immediate account sanctions.

### Rule 2: **Unauthorized Software & Third-Party Tools**
The use of any cheat clients, macros, auto-clickers, bots, or any external programs that give an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.

### Rule 3: **Point & Kill-Farming**
Engaging in activities like kill-boosting, point-farming, or exploiting minigames for unfair PKP or reward gains is not allowed.

### Rule 4: **Offensive Language & Harassment**
Hateful, obscene, or excessively aggressive language directed at others is prohibited, both in public and private communications.
**4b. Discrimination**
Any form of discrimination based on race, gender, religion, orientation, or background will not be tolerated.

### Rule 5: **Account Security & Scamming**
Accessing, stealing, or tampering with another player’s account is strictly forbidden.
**5b. Scamming**
Luring, item scams, or trust trades under false pretenses are not permitted. Trading screen swaps or rule changes in duels are part of the game — but repeated, large-scale abuse may result in penalties.

### Rule 6: **Bug Abuse**
Exploiting bugs or glitches for personal gain disrupts fair play. Any discovered exploits must be reported to staff immediately.

### Rule 7: **Account Trading & Sharing**
Selling, trading, or sharing accounts is not allowed. Defiance staff will not mediate disputes or issues arising from account sharing.

### Rule 8: **Real World Trading (RWT)**
Exchanging in-game items or wealth for real-world money or external services is strictly forbidden.

### Rule 9: **Advertising**
Promoting other servers, websites, or Discords without approval is prohibited and may result in an immediate ban.

### Rule 10: **Privacy & Doxing**
Sharing another player’s personal information without consent, including contact details or personal images, is strictly prohibited.

### Rule 11: **Griefing**
Disrupting gameplay in minigames, PvP, or PvM encounters intentionally to hinder others is not allowed.

### Rule 12: **Multi-Logging**
You may use multiple accounts in the Wilderness, provided they are not used to create an unfair PvP advantage.

### Rule 13: **Ragging & Rushing**
Unrelenting harassment through constant attacks, teleblocking, or PJing is prohibited at key locations. Reasonable PKing is allowed — excessive ragging is not.

### Rule 14: **Spamming**
Avoid spamming chat or yell channels. Trade advertisements and recruitment yells are limited to once per minute.

### Rule 15: **Punishment Evasion**
Evading bans, mutes, or other punishments through alternate accounts or IP changes is not allowed and will result in escalated penalties.

### Rule 16: **Bounty & Emblem Farming**
Manipulating Bounty Hunter systems or farming emblems through alt accounts is prohibited.

### Rule 17: **Common Sense Clause**
Actions not explicitly listed but deemed harmful, exploitative, or abusive may still be punished under this rule.

### Rule 18: **Giveaway Code Sharing**
Sharing private giveaway codes publicly or in clan chats is prohibited and will result in mutes.

### Rule 19: **Event Loot Abuse**
Players are limited to collecting loot piles on no more than two accounts during seasonal events.

### Rule 20: **Doxing Policy**
**Defiance has a zero-tolerance stance on doxing.**
Sharing or threatening to share personal details like real names, addresses, photos, or contact details without explicit consent will lead to severe consequences.
**Consequences for doxing include:**
* Mutes ranging from 24 hours to permanent
* Bans on both in-game and Discord platforms, up to permanent bans based on severity
**To report doxing:**
Collect evidence and report directly to the staff through appropriate channels. Do not retaliate.
**Note:** General insults or harmless comments about appearance or behavior without personal details do not constitute doxing.
